Easter with my cousin’s daughter

Normally, we keep our trips to Brandvlei pretty exclusive since the house is still undergoing renovations and isn't quite ready for guests. It's a bit of a construction zone, to be honest!

However, this Easter, I made an exception. I thought it would be lovely for my daughter to have some company and bond with her cousin, so I invited my cousin's daughter to join us for the long weekend. My cousin and his wife were thrilled with the idea, and so was their daughter!

This trip was really just a relaxed Easter getaway for us, focused on tackling a few small, non-critical projects around the house—think minor repairs and taking some measurements. It was less about entertaining and more about making progress on the renovations while enjoying some family time.
