Delivery of supplies and garage lock-up.
Okay, its mid winter so let's do this... My dad and I were up bright and early, practically buzzing with excitement for our 600km, six-hour journey to Brandvlei. He's always been eager for these road trips, and with his chronic medication and clothes all packed, he was ready to roll. Honestly, he's the best co-pilot and navigator you could ask for. Traveling with my dad is always a real bonding experience, and I cherish every moment we get to spend together like that.
Our main mission for this particular trip was pretty straightforward: deliver some building supplies and get them safely tucked away in the garage. But the real "project" was installing a quick, but super secure, locking mechanism for the old barn-style garage door. My dad, ever the ingenious one, had cooked up this brilliant idea to use a heavy-duty chain and a huge padlock to keep things safe and sound. It was nothing fancy, just a quick, impromptu visit to get some essential tasks done and enjoy each other's company on the open road.
